While we were discussing color options, I painted a new resident’s nails today at work, and she mentioned that she wanted clear. “CLEAR!” was the only thing that sprang to mind. That isn’t enjoyable.

“My hands are ugly, and I don’t want to draw attention to them,” she said when I asked her why she wanted clear. “Your hands tell the story of your life,” I said thoughtfully in response.
