10 minutes ago / Family announced the sad news of Legend Clint Eastwood / Farewell in tears..

Actor and filmmaker Clinton Eastwood Jr. is from the United States. Eastwood gained international recognition for his roles as the “Man with No Name” in Sergio Leone’s Dollars Trilogy of spaghetti Westerns in the mid-1960s and as antihero cop Harry Callahan in the five Dirty Harry films in the 1970s and 1980s, following his success in the Western TV series Rawhide. Eastwood has become a timeless cultural symbol of masculinity because of these and other roles.

Eastwood was elected mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, in 1986 and held the office for two years.

The adventure comedy Every Which Way but Loose (1978) and its action comedy follow-up Any Which Way You Can (1980) are Eastwood’s biggest box office hits. [8] The action-war film Where Eagles Dare (1968), the prison film Escape from Alcatraz (1979), the war film Heartbreak Ridge (1986), the action film In the Line of Fire (1993), the romantic drama The Bridges of Madison County (1995), and the Westerns Hang ‘Em High (1968), The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), and Pale Rider (1985) are several other well-known Eastwood productions.

Gran Torino (2008), The Mule (2018), and Cry Macho (2021) are examples of more recent works. All but four of Eastwood’s American films have been produced by Malpaso Productions since 1967.

Eastwood, who was nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards, took home Best Picture and Best Director for his sports drama Million Dollar Baby (2004) and his Western Unforgiven (1992). Along with directing a number of his own star vehicles, Eastwood has also directed movies in which he did not feature, including the Academy Award-nominated war movie Letters from Iwo Jima (2006) and the mystery drama Mystic River (2003). In addition, he directed the biographical movies Richard Jewell (2019), American Sniper (2014), Sully (2016), Invictus (2009), and Changeling (2008).

Among Eastwood’s many honors are an AFI Life Achievement Award, three César Awards, four Academy Awards, and four Golden Globes. In recognition of his lifetime accomplishments, he was given the Golden Lion award at the Italian Venice Film Festival in 2000. He was awarded the Legion of Honour in 2007 and the Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 1994, two of France’s highest civilian honors.
