Florida Hairstylist, Hailey Hosford, 27, Found Dead in Luxury Apartment Parking Garage

Shortly before she could go home, 27-year-old hairstylist and yoga retreat instructor Hailey Hosford was viciously stabbed in a Sunrise, Florida, parking garage. The attack took place at The Retreat at Sawgrass Village on May 28 at approximately 1:30 a.m.

According to surveillance footage, Hosford’s parked Mercedes was approached by suspect Jackson Julian Sagesse Jr., age 21. He pried the door open and repeatedly stabbed her as she attempted to get back into the vehicle. During the attack, a male friend returned, was stabbed in the throat while attempting to help, but he lived and called the police.

At 2:01 a.m., Hosford was discovered unconscious and declared dead. Sagesse was taken into custody by police at his apartment nearby. His kitchen set included two steak knives, one in his pocket and one in the car. “I just killed someone and walked away,” he said chillingly when he later confessed.

Hailey was characterized by loved ones as lively and full of life. According to close friend Aubrey Rosebrock, “there is good and evil—we lost the good.” More than $14,500 has been raised for her funeral expenses through a GoFundMe in her honor.
