Nancy Grace Shares New Photo of Her Twins, Igniting Buzz about Her ‘So Tall’ Son

Nancy Grace surprised her followers this week with a heartwarming — and unexpectedly viral — family photo. But it wasn’t just the sweet fall moment that got fans talking. It was her son’s remarkable height.

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, the veteran journalist shared a rare Instagram picture featuring her 18-year-old twins, John David and Lucy Elizabeth, during their annual visit to Burt’s Pumpkin Patch. The photo showed the trio surrounded by vibrant autumn trees, with John David standing between his mom and sister — noticeably towering over both.

Grace captioned the post,
”Yearly Trek to Burt’s Pumpkin Patch for pumpkins and boiled peanuts! Have a great Sunday!!”

Within minutes, her comment section was buzzing. Fans flooded the post with messages of surprise and affection, many marveling at John David’s growth.
“Holy moly, he’s twice your height!” one follower exclaimed, while another joked, “What are you feeding that boy, Nancy?”

Others were struck by how quickly the twins had grown up. “Wow, I can’t believe they’re 18 already! It feels like yesterday you were talking about them as babies on air,” one user wrote. Another added, “Your twins are so beautiful — time flies!”

Just a few days earlier, Grace had celebrated her children’s milestone birthday with an emotional Facebook post. She shared a throwback photo of the twins as infants, writing,
”MY MIRACLE BABIES! ONCE IN A LIFETIME! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AWESOME AND MINIME!!!”

Born on November 4, 2007, John David and Lucy Elizabeth entered the world prematurely when Grace was 48 years old. Their birth came after a challenging pregnancy — one that nearly cost the journalist her life.

Only a week after welcoming her twins, Grace suffered a severe pulmonary embolism — a blood clot in her lungs. Her husband, David Linch, told People at the time that she was “doing pretty doggone good” after beginning treatment, though Grace later revealed just how dangerous the situation had been.

In interviews years later, she shared that she spent months in a wheelchair and kept her health struggles private while continuing to work. On the morning of November 4, she collapsed from shortness of breath, and doctors discovered her lungs were filled with fluid. It was a terrifying moment that changed her outlook on life and motherhood.

Reflecting on the experience, Grace once said,

“Before I had the babies, I never really let myself love 100%. Lucy and John David have changed all that.”

Now, 18 years later, her latest post has reminded fans of just how far she — and her children — have come since those difficult early days.

From tiny miracle babies to grown young adults towering over their famous mom, John David and Lucy Elizabeth’s journey continues to inspire. And as one fan put it perfectly in the comments, “They didn’t just grow tall — they grew into the biggest blessing of your life.”
