After rumors began to swirl following Billy Ray Cyrus’s engagement and subsequent marriage, his daughter Miley Ray Cyrus has seemed to confirm them.

According to rumblings on the internet, Miley and Billy, despite being very close at one point, started growing apart when Billy, 62, became close to his new wife, Firerose, 34, who is also a musician. While neither Billy or Miley have addressed the rumors, Billy absence from the Grammys and from Miley’s acceptance speeches have reignited rumors that things aren’t great between the famous father-daughter duo.

While accepting her first Grammy, Miley shared a poignant story about being rewarded for living life on her own terms, but her second Grammy she used to thank several people in her life, including her sister, Brandi, her boyfriend, and her mom, Trish. Left absent from the speech was her father.

“This award is amazing. But I really hope that it doesn’t change anything because my life was beautiful yesterday. Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular,” she said, before adding with a laugh, “So please don’t think that this is important, even though it’s very important, right guys?”
