I Installed Hidden Cameras in My House – I Was So Disgusted by What I Saw That I Contemplated Revenge

A man shared his heartbreaking story on Reddit about the end of his 20-year marriage and how he plotted revenge against his wife. The father of two had previously recounted an incident where his wife released a pet rabbit into their yard, resulting in a hawk taking it in front of their young children, which damaged their relationship with her.

Despite his efforts to mediate between his kids and their mother, tensions remained. He even suggested marriage counseling, but his wife insisted their relationship was fine. However, things took a turn when his eldest child confided that a man had been visiting their home while he was at work. The child revealed that their mother referred to the man as her “special friend” and bribed the kids to keep quiet.

Noticing changes in his wife’s behavior, the man installed hidden cameras around the house. His suspicions were confirmed when the footage revealed his wife’s affair with a younger former colleague. He then placed a GPS tracker in her car and enlisted his sister and brother-in-law to help. They followed her and discovered she was seeing the affair partner.

Fuelled by anger, the man planned his revenge. Pretending to go on a business trip, he had his sister take the kids, giving his wife the perfect opportunity to invite her affair partner over. Through the hidden cameras, he listened to their conversation and learned she was pregnant with the affair partner’s child and spoke ill of him.

Determined to take action, he hired a ruthless lawyer and presented the evidence of her infidelity. His wife was served with divorce papers, and despite her threats, he remained calm, relying on the evidence he had collected. When she called the police, accusing him of abuse, he showed the footage to the officers, proving his innocence and leading to her arrest.

The divorce proceedings were lengthy, but with the overwhelming evidence, he secured full custody of their children and ownership of the house. Reflecting on the ordeal, he expressed disbelief at the lengths his wife went to hurt him but was relieved to have moved on with his children.

On Father’s Day, Keith Urban walked onto the stage with a heavy heart and sang “He’s in Every Chord I Play” for his late dad. His voice cracked, eyes glassy, barely holding it together — and yet, every note carried a piece of the man who raised him. It wasn’t just a song. It was a son crying out through music, right there in front of everyone. No ego, no show — just love. Honest, raw, and heartbreakingly beautiful. Keith didn’t just sing it… he lived it.
