Jennifer Aniston, 55, leaves fans breathless with Emmys gown – critics blast her familiar look

Jennifer Aniston wowed her fans at the 2024 Emmy Awards, stepping onto the red carpet in a stunning champagne-colored gown adorned with pearls and rhinestones. The actress, known for her “timeless beauty” at 55, captivated onlookers as she made her way through the event.

Despite the widespread admiration for her look, some critics have grown weary of her consistent style, calling it “overrated” and commenting that she always sticks to the same fashion choices.

In 2002, Aniston attended the Emmy Awards in a pink silk Christian Dior gown with sparkling sequin beading, winning her first Emmy for her role as Rachel Green on Friends. During her acceptance speech, she thanked her family, friends, and her then-husband Brad Pitt, whom she later divorced in 2005.

At this year’s event, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Aniston received her ninth career nomination, this time for her portrayal of Alex Levy in The Morning Show. She looked radiant in a strapless gown that accentuated her fit physique, with her sun-kissed hair cascading over her shoulders. The actress accessorized with a Tiffany & Co. diamond tennis bracelet and kept her makeup and nails elegantly simple, embracing a natural yet glamorous look.

Aniston shared with Entertainment Tonight that her rhinestone and pearl dress, designed by Oscar de la Renta, was both “simple and beautiful,” adding, “I’m held together with every inch of my life.”

However, not everyone was impressed. Some critics took to social media to voice their dissatisfaction, claiming her style had become repetitive. “Omg change [your] look, always the same,” one person wrote, while others echoed similar sentiments, labeling her look as predictable.

On the other hand, many of her fans jumped to her defense, praising her elegance and poise. “Some of you people are such jacka$$es!!! If you can’t say anything positive, keep your mouth shut,” one supporter fired back. Others chimed in, calling Aniston “classy and beautiful,” emphasizing that her dresses, though understated, were always unique and tasteful.

Fans also continued to celebrate her ageless beauty, with one person calling her “absolutely beautiful and stunning,” while another noted, “She hasn’t overdone her makeup or hair or jewelry and looks beautiful.”
