Dr. Stuart Fischer, who has not treated Kurt directly, explains that these sores are precancerous lesions that could become dangerous if not treated promptly. Similarly, Dr. Gabe Mirkin, an immunologist, supports the idea that PJS could be the cause and stresses the need for immediate medical tests and treatment.

In addition to his health concerns, rumors have circulated that Kurt and his longtime partner, actress Goldie Hawn, have recently had disagreements. Despite these personal challenges, Kurt was scheduled to be inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers in Oklahoma City in October, a prestigious honor that acknowledges his contributions to the genre of western films. His name already appears on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

However, due to an unexpected medical situation, Kurt is unable to attend the event. In a statement, he revealed that he requires hip surgery, which doctors have advised must happen in September.
