Sparking Debate and Concerns

A local bar is aiming to create a sense of nationalistic camaraderie while maintaining an environment free from the hipster culture. Retaining Traditions and Values

Apart from this, the bar maintains other traditional elements reminiscent of simpler times – like offering domestic beers for as cheap as $1.50 a pint. On days with televised sports events, patrons can even enjoy a beer for a mere dollar, which is an absolute bargain.

The manager of the bar defends the controversial sign, emphasizing that it represents the pride of being American.

“The sign aligns with the values we uphold at the bar. It’s about rejoicing in our nation and its fervent supporters.” – Bar Manager

Fear and Intimidation Among Local Residents

The bar’s reputation has instilled apprehension among some local residents, particularly those who do not identify as white males. A woman from the Fairmount area, familiar with the bar often referred to as “Old Philly,” expressed her reluctance to visit due to her Indian boyfriend’s presence, who sports a beard.
