Celebrity line-up for Donald Trump’s inauguration revealed

The inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States is set to take place on January 20th, 2025, at the US Capitol in Washington, DC. With the event drawing closer, details about the entertainment and schedule of the day have been unveiled, adding to the anticipation surrounding the occasion.

Festivities for the inauguration are planned to begin the weekend prior with a series of events. A fireworks display will kick off the celebrations at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia. Following this, a campaign-style rally will take place in Washington, DC, before moving to Arlington National Cemetery for a wreath-laying ceremony. Several private dinners and receptions will round out the pre-inauguration activities.

Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, co-chairs of the inaugural committee, emphasized the importance of the event in a public statement. They noted that the celebrations will highlight Trump’s historic return to the White House and the strong support behind his “America First” agenda. Witkoff, set to serve as Trump’s Middle East envoy, and Loeffler, his pick to lead the Small Business Administration, have underscored unity as a theme for the inauguration.

The inauguration day itself will feature a star-studded musical lineup, with performances from country artist Lee Greenwood and opera singer Christopher Macchio, two of Trump’s favorites. Country music superstar Carrie Underwood will also take the stage to perform “America the Beautiful” shortly before Trump takes the oath of office. Underwood, who rose to fame as the winner of American Idol in 2005, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, emphasizing the importance of unity and looking to the future.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration,” Underwood shared in a statement. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together.”

Despite the celebratory tone, Underwood’s participation has sparked mixed reactions on social media. Some users criticized her decision to perform, accusing her of compromising moral principles. Comments ranged from disappointment in her involvement to accusations of hypocrisy. However, her fans and others have supported her decision, praising her focus on national unity.

The inauguration will also feature an invocation by Franklin Graham, the son of the late pastor Billy Graham, and New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan. Christopher Macchio will close the ceremony with a rendition of the National Anthem, a performance anticipated to reflect the solemnity and tradition of the occasion.

The day after the inauguration, Trump will attend a National Prayer Service, marking his first full day in office.

The entertainment lineup and schedule have generated widespread discussion, with opinions ranging from support to sharp criticism. Share your thoughts on the planned events and performances, and let others know about this historic occasion!
