At Garner’s father’s funeral, Fin Affleck confirmed that the 15-year-old son of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck is now going by the name Fin Affleck.

“Hello, my name is Fin Affleck,” Fin said prior to reading a passage from the Bible during the service for their grandfather, William “Billy” Jack Garner, who passed away in March 2024 at the age of 85. Following the memorial service on Saturday, April 6, which was streamed live on the West Virginia church’s Facebook page, social media platforms took notice.

For the occasion, Fin wore a suit and tie and had a buzz cut. Regarding Garner, she posted a lovely homage to her father on Instagram, stating that he died “peacefully.”

“We appreciate Dad’s quiet strength and kind disposition. She captioned the photo on Monday, April 1, saying, “For the way he created the role of all in, ever patient girl dad, and for the way he teased with a mischievous smile.” “We are grateful for his work ethic, leadership, and faith.”

Following the announcement of their new name, the teen has since been spotted out in public. The teenager, wearing an oversized T-shirt and cargo shorts, was spotted meeting their mother at a nail salon.

Garner and Affleck have three children, including Fin. Violet, 18, and Samuel, 12, are also shared by the ex-couple. The couple got married in June 2005 and separated in October 2018. Jennifer Lopez is now Affleck’s wife.
