Hoarder’s home has been buried under 8 feet of trash for over 10 years

A Los Angeles property has reached hoarding levels so extreme that it’s making headlines, with 8-foot-tall piles of trash spilling across the yard and visible even from aerial footage. For years, the situation has caused an unbearable living environment for neighbors, who report dealing with unsightly views, pest infestations, and potential health hazards due to the overwhelming amount of debris.

The homeowner, who has been at the center of numerous complaints, has promised to clean up the mess multiple times over the past decade but has yet to take any action. The trash has become so extensive that he reportedly must climb over heaps of it just to get inside his own home. The hoard has also attracted cockroaches and rodents, with infestations spreading to neighboring properties, compounding the frustrations of nearby residents.

Despite years of complaints and even city involvement, the problem remains unresolved. Neighbors feel trapped in a nightmare, unable to escape the pests and foul odors wafting from the property. Local officials have been slow to act, much to the dismay of those living nearby.

In a recent effort to shine a spotlight on the issue, Inside Edition reached out to Mark Ridley-Thomas’s city council office. The office acknowledged the severity of the problem and has promised to coordinate a multi-agency solution. Residents are now cautiously optimistic, hoping that this long-overdue intervention will finally result in the cleanup they’ve been pleading for.

With the property in such a shocking state, the story has garnered national attention. A video of the hoarded home has been circulating widely, leaving viewers stunned by the extent of the mess. For the residents living nearby, the video is more than just a spectacle—it’s a cry for action and a desperate plea for their neighborhood to be restored to a livable state. All eyes are now on local authorities to see if they’ll finally deliver the solution the community has been waiting for.
