I Returned Home with My Daughter Only to Find Out My Husband Had Disappeared

Before returning home one evening to discover their apartment deserted, Lucy believed she had the ideal life with her husband, Jordan, and their daughter, Grace.

Jordan had disappeared, leaving only a note stating that he would come back if Lucy did one thing. Bewildered and anxious, Lucy attempted to contact Jordan and his pals but got no response. She called his parents in desperation, and they advised her to call the police. No evidence of foul play was found during the investigation, indicating that Jordan left voluntarily.

Jordan sent Lucy a package with a DNA test kit and a letter a few days later. The letter stated that he had doubts about Grace’s paternity because she looked like an old friend, and he would only go back if the test confirmed that Grace was his daughter. Lucy, hurt and furious, sent the test to disprove him.

Jordan was identified as Grace’s father by the results, but Lucy understood that disproving him wouldn’t make up for the betrayal. She informed Jordan in a final letter that they were done and that the divorce process had begun. Knowing she deserved better than someone who would desert them on the basis of unfounded suspicions, Lucy and Grace continued their journey.
