Key witness in OJ Simpson trial gives theory of what happened to murder weapon as he details what he saw

An important witness in the O.J. Simpson case has offered a hypothesis regarding what happened to the murder weapon. Once a well-known NFL player, Simpson’s reputation changed in 1994 after he was implicated in the killings of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. After an 11-month trial that lasted from November 1994 to October 1995, Simpson was found not guilty despite claims of abuse during their marriage. The case is still open.

American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson, a recent Netflix documentary, reexamines the case. The missing murder weapon, a knife that was never located or offered as proof, is one unsolved mystery. In the documentary, witness Skip Junis recalled seeing Simpson at the airport carrying several Louis Vuitton bags in addition to a “cheaper” bag that he concealed. Before boarding his flight, Junis said Simpson took “something long” out of the bag and threw it in a trash can. Simpson’s notorious white Ford Bronco chase prior to his police surrender is also revisited in the documentary.
