ICE Secretary Rushed To Hospital After Allergic Reaction

According to an agency spokesperson, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was taken to a hospital in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday following an allergic reaction.

DHS assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin told The Independent that Secretary Noem had an allergic reaction today.

“Out of extreme caution, she was taken to the hospital. She is awake and getting better,” she continued.

CNN sources claim that Kristi Noem has been alert and in contact with her security team.

Several Secret Service officers were reportedly positioned at different entrances outside the emergency room where Secretary Noem was admitted, according to CNN.

The former governor of South Dakota was named Homeland Security Secretary by Donald Trump following his election. She has promised to restructure the agency’s emergency response procedures and is currently in charge of the immigration crackdown.

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Kristi Noem visited Fort Detrick, an Army base in Maryland that is being investigated by the FBI for a biohazard incident, on Monday. Kennedy recently informed the Senate that two contractors were involved in an incident that resulted in the closure of a lab.

After ICE raids in the Los Angeles area sparked protests and worried local immigrant communities, Noem held a press conference in California last week, according to The Independent.
