Eric Braeden, renowned for his Emmy-winning role as Victor Newman on “The Young and the Restless,” has revealed his current battle with cancer. During a recent Facebook Live session, the 82-year-old actor shared his health struggles, including issues with his prostate that were discovered while recovering from knee surgery.

After doctors found high-grade cancer cells near his bladder, Braeden underwent surgery followed by a six-week course of immunotherapy. With a determination to overcome his health obstacles, Braeden also shared his eagerness to return to his beloved role on “The Young and the Restless,” a character he has portrayed since 1980. Fans of Braeden can find comfort in his resolve, as he concluded, “I’m still glad I can go to work.”
