NFL Mourns the Loss of Super Bowl Champion Matt Ulrich

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of former NFL player, Matt Ulrich, at the age of 41. Known for his role as an offensive guard for the Indianapolis Colts, Ulrich made significant contributions, particularly in the Colts’ Super Bowl XLI victory in 2006.

Jim Irsay, Colts owner, expressed his grief, highlighting Ulrich’s impact during his two seasons with the team. Ulrich’s influence extended beyond the football field. After retiring from the NFL, he co-founded DexaFit LLC, focusing on body fat and metabolic testing. However, his true passion lay in being a devoted family man.

Ulrich, a loving father of four preteen sons, found immense joy and fulfillment in his role as a family man. Settling in Bozeman, Montana, he and his wife realized their dream of raising their family there. His commitment to family extended to his business endeavors, creating job opportunities for others in Montana.

The cause of Ulrich’s untimely passing remains unclear, and we mourn this loss deeply. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this challenging time. Matt Ulrich will be remembered not only as a Super Bowl champion but also as a dedicated father and a man committed to creating opportunities for others.
