Sarah Palin Discusses a New Romance, Divorce, and Running for Congress

After a 30-year marriage and a divorce in 2020, Sarah Palin is embracing a new chapter in her life. In an interview with The New York Post, Palin, 58, describes her divorce from Todd as “earth-shattering.” Despite Todd now spending time with his girlfriend, Palin has found comfort in her relationship with retired New York Rangers player Ron Duguay, 64.

Palin reveals that their friendship developed when Duguay sought guidance during her defamation battle against The New York Times. Although the lawsuit was dropped, their connection grew, and Duguay served as her tour guide in New York. Palin describes their relationship as “safe and comfortable,” emphasizing the importance of having someone to talk to about personal matters other than politics.

Duguay has been a vocal supporter of Palin’s congressional campaign. Recently announcing her candidacy for the U.S. House seat representing Alaska, Palin expresses her commitment to honor the legacy of the late Rep. Don Young, whom she seeks to succeed. Endorsed by former President Donald Trump, Palin aims to continue her public service and represent the state she is passionate about.
