Famed Rapper Find Out He Has No Fire Insurance as His Mansion Burns Down In L.A. (Photo)

Many residents of Southern California have lost their homes to destructive wildfires, leaving behind nothing but ashes. Rapper and YouTuber DDG (Daryl Dewayne Granberry Jr.) is one of those impacted; he recently disclosed that his house is uninsured against fire damage, which could result in losses of millions of dollars.

The 27-year-old expressed his anguish as flames approached his Los Angeles home on January 9 during a Twitch livestream. “I discovered today that I don’t have fire insurance,” he remarked. “It would be Ms. wasted if my crib burned down.” DDG started rushing to get insurance while making sure he was safe in the midst of the confusion.

After leaving Central Michigan University to pursue a career in entertainment, DDG’s ascent to fame began. His career was cemented by his platinum-certified song “Moonwalking in Calabasas” and his 2017 breakthrough hit “Lettuce.” Even though he was successful, this mistake could have disastrous financial repercussions.

Since they started on January 7, the wildfires have burned almost 40,000 acres, killed 11 people, and destroyed hundreds of homes, including those of famous people like guitarist Larry LaLonde. Thousands of people are still displaced, and containment is at less than 15%.

The circumstances surrounding DDG serve as a reminder of the value of readiness, particularly in high-risk areas. Fans support him as he faces this obstacle, highlighting the resiliency of the communities affected by these natural calamities.
