At least 37 people dead, and many injured in a devastating head-on crash between two buses

A terrible collision between two buses claimed the lives of at least 37 people and injured numerous others.

According to Reuters, the cars collided on the road between the Bolivian cities of Uyuni and Colchani in the western Potosi region.

According to a statement from Potosi’s Departmental Police Command, the incident occurred early on Saturday morning.

“We have 37 people who have died and 39 people who are injured in four hospitals in the town of Uyuni as a result of this fatal accident,” a police department spokesperson says.

After being taken to a hospital in Uyuni, the injured individuals received medical attention.

The police are still attempting to identify the bodies of those who tragically died.

According to the Potosi Departmental Police Command report, one of the buses swerved into the oncoming lane, most likely as a result of speeding, causing the collision.

For the purpose of removing the bodies from the scene, one of the buses had to be turned over onto its side using a crane.

This incident follows a bus and car collision on a residential street in north-west London that resulted in one fatality and three injuries.

Sadly, nothing could be done for the person fighting for their life when paramedics arrived at Whitmore Road in Harrow.

On Monday, the crash occurred at approximately 9 p.m.

According to the London Ambulance Service, “we were called at 9:17 p.m. on February 24 to reports of a road traffic collision near Whitmore Road.”

We dispatched a number of resources to the scene, including command support vehicles, ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response vehicle, an incident response officer, and members of our hazardous area response team (HART).

After treating four patients on the spot, we discharged one patient and transported the other two to a major trauma center.

“Sadly, one person was declared dead at the scene despite our crews’ best efforts.”
