Renowned chef and TV host, Michael Chiarello, passed away at 61 after a severe allergic reaction. His restaurant group, Gruppo Chiarello, confirmed the sad news.

Known for his Italian-influenced Californian cuisine, Michael Chiarello was a fan favorite on various cooking shows and even won an Emmy for his show on the Food Network.

He leaves behind four children from different marriages and an enduring legacy in the culinary world.

The Chiarello family has requested donations to Meals on Wheels in his memory.

His restaurants, including Bottega, Coqueta, and Ottimo, will continue to operate in his honor.

Michael Chiarello’s family and the restaurant community mourn his loss, celebrating his passion for food and life.
