SEVEN TRUMP CAMPAIGN PROPOSALS THAT SHOW HE’S GETTING DESPERATE

Donald Trump’s campaign has entered a critical stage, with the former president making a series of bold and hastily made promises in a bid to enhance his standing in the 2024 election race. Among these proposals are eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security; making in-vitro fertilization free; capping credit card interest rates; reducing car insurance costs; and reinstating the state and local tax deduction.

These promises, which would come with a hefty price tag of at least $3.2 trillion, have raised eyebrows due to their lack of detailed plans and the difficulty of implementation. Many of these proposals run counter to long-standing Republican fiscal policies and are seen as politically challenging to achieve. Analysts suggest that these pledges are more likely aimed at garnering short-term voter support rather than having a realistic chance of becoming law.

While the ideas may appeal to certain voter segments, their feasibility remains questionable given the cost and the potential resistance within Trump’s own party. Without more concrete details or a clear path to enactment, these proposals may serve more as campaign talking points rather than serious legislative priorities.
