I kicked out my brother’s family from my home after checking hidden cameras in my bedroom

A man checked his hidden cameras after realizing his engagement ring was gone. The ring had been taken by his thieving 9-year-old nephew. The man said, “I’m positive he’s lying about not having it because he said the same thing about one of my watches that he took and then found.” Despite earlier warnings, the nephew’s parents did not discipline him.

Uncovered Camera Disclosure

In his room, the man installed a low-cost spy camera. Video showed the nephew searching through the drawer after the ring vanished. The man was so angry that he went up to his brother and demanded the return of the ring. Although he claimed to have left it in the guest room, the boy was unable to locate it. The man threatened to leave unless his brother paid back the $4,000 he had paid for the ring.

Reddit Assistance

Reddit users endorsed his actions after he shared his story. An individual commented, “I can imagine that gut-clenching feeling when an item you saved an entire year for goes missing.” “NTA – they sold the ring,” another person wrote.

Family Relations Restricted, Ring Found

His fiancée loved the ring when the man finally discovered it in the guest room sink and proposed to her. He found the ring, but he wouldn’t allow his brother’s family to return. One Redditor wrote, “You are absolutely in the right because the kid refused to tell you where it was and his parents refused to make him.”
