America’s most cherished family tragically died in a plane crash while traveling to a concert.
Seven members of the popular and beloved gospel family, the Nelons, including Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, and son-in-law Nathan Kistler, perished in the tragedy. Pilot Larry Haynie, his wife Melissa, and Melanie Hodges, a teammate of the family, were also killed.
Nelon Streetman, the group’s sole survivor, was not on the flight. The plane crashed over Wyoming while the family was on their way to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise. The wreckage was discovered engulfed in flames after emergency personnel raced to the scene.
None of the passengers survived the collision, according to confirmation from the Wyoming Sheriff’s Office. The remaining family members have conveyed their appreciation for the prayers and support they have received, especially for Nelon Streetman, their family, and their unborn child, as well as for Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark.
