While “NCIS” has triumphed as a television favorite since 2003, its cast’s off-screen lives have been marked by hidden struggles and controversies. Pauley Perrette, known for her role as Abby Sciuto, left the show amidst cryptic allegations of bullying and assault. Sasha Alexander, who played Special Agent Kate Todd, exited due to the grueling demands of the show’s production schedule.
Tensions behind the scenes were fueled by disputes between star Mark Harmon and creator Donald Bellisario, leading to a significant shift in the show’s leadership. Cote de Pablo’s sudden departure was later linked to dissatisfaction with her character’s direction.
The cast has also faced personal tribulations: Perrette survived a violent assault, and Michael Weatherly was charged with DUI. Wilmer Valderrama’s dating life stirred up media attention, while Perrette and David McCallum both suffered through personal losses and challenges.
Henry Duane’s past homelessness highlighted the harsh realities of pursuing an acting career. The show’s image suffered a blow when Weatherly was accused of sexual harassment by Eliza Dushku, an incident that culminated in a substantial settlement.
