‘Not a litre until Trump…’: Norwegian firm cuts US military fuel supply

In support of Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky following a confrontation with US President Donald Trump, one of Norway’s biggest shipping and oil companies has declared that it will stop supplying US Navy ships with fuel.

Due to excessive traffic, the official statement that Haltbakk Bunkers posted on Facebook has since been removed.

“Today, we witnessed the largest shitshow ever presented ‘live on tv’ by the current American president and his vice president,” the statement said. The Ukrainian president deserves a great deal of praise for his self-control and composure despite the United States’ deceptive television program. We were ill from it. Brief and to the point. Our decision is to immediately cease providing fuel to American forces in Norway and their ships that call at Norwegian ports.

Additionally, the business said, “We encourage all Norwegians and Europeans to follow our example.”

The company made the decision in response to a live broadcast meeting between Ukrainian President Zelensky, US President Donald Trump, and Vice President JD Vance. During the meeting, Zelensky was criticized for failing to express gratitude, which sparked a dispute between the world leaders.

The US military, which depends on commercial suppliers for its fuel needs, could suffer greatly from the move, especially if other European companies follow suit.

Kystens Naeringsliv, the CEO of Haltbakk Bunkers, Gunnar Gran, defended the company’s choice and reaffirmed that “not a single litre will be delivered until Trump is finished” in an interview with a Norwegian publication.

Additionally, since the conflict with Ukraine started three years ago, the company has ceased providing fuel to Russia. This resulted in a large increase in revenue for many of our rivals. A large amount of money was lost. However, we possess a moral compass. Because of their actions toward the Ukrainians, the US is now excluded,” Gran stated.
