‘Three’s Company’ star dead at 76

Actress Suzanne Somers has passed away at the age of 76, just a day before her 77th birthday, following a decades-long battle with cancer. Best known for her role as Chrissy Snow in “Three’s Company,” her publicist, R Couri Hay, confirmed the news, stating that she peacefully passed away at home in the early morning hours of October 15th, surrounded by her loving family.

In July of the same year, she had informed her fans of her cancer’s return and expressed her determination to fight it. Suzanne Somers leaves behind a rich legacy in the world of television and literature, with over 25 published books and a successful acting career, alongside her loving husband, Alan Hamel, whom she was married to for 46 years.

Throughout her career, she took on various roles in TV series such as Sheriff Hildy Granger in “She’s the Sheriff” and Carol Foster Lambert in “Step by Step.” In addition to her acting work, she published books covering topics like wellness, sex, and weight loss, and her 1988 memoir, “Keeping Secrets.”

Suzanne’s latest TV credits included co-hosting “Candid Camera,” her own talk show, “The Suzanne Show,” and an appearance on “Dancing with the Stars.” She had a supportive family and a loving husband, Alan Hamel, who had been by her side every step of the way.

Before her passing, Alan gave her an early birthday present, a handwritten love poem wrapped in her favorite pink peonies. Suzanne Somers’ legacy and contributions to the entertainment industry will be remembered and cherished by her fans and loved ones.
