This 9/11 Budweiser Commercial Only Aired Once, But Will Always Be An Iconic Tribute To Our Nation

An iconic representation of American culture are the Budweiser Clydesdales. Whether or not you enjoy the Budweiser brand, it’s one of those things that you can always relate to. Their advertisements are consistently elegant, well-produced, and serve as a reminder of what it truly means to be “American.”

Every time I watch the advertisement in the video below, I get chills. It was made to represent the American people’s hope. This was only shown once, during Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002, and it wasn’t until 2008 that it was uploaded to YouTube.

Without the twin World Trade Center Towers, which were destroyed in a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, the advertisement depicts the Clydesdales passing the Statue of Liberty, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, and then stopping and bowing in a park with a view of the New York City skyline.

Goosebumps all at once! Watch it regardless of whether you’ve seen it before. Take pleasure in it and never forget what it means to be an American. It’s a true honor! We stand together, fight together, and live together.

Budweiser used the same creative as the original commercial to remaster and create a new one on September 11, 2011. “We’ll Never Forget” was the new message of this recently remastered advertisement.

Paul Chibe, vice president of marketing at Anheuser-Busch, said in a statement, “We think our 9/11 Clydesdales tribute ad is very special.” In an effort to increase awareness of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum’s fundraising campaign, we were pleased to re-air the commercial on Sunday, the tenth anniversary. The ad’s subtle adjustments were meant to convey the passage of time and, above all, the message that we should never forget the people who were killed and impacted by 9/11.
