FBI reopens investigation into White House cocaine scandal

The FBI has unexpectedly decided to reopen its investigation into the bag of cocaine found inside the West Wing in July 2023, one of the most bizarre mysteries of the Biden administration.

Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino announced on X (formerly Twitter) on May 26th that the FBI is reexamining a number of high-profile cases, such as the Dobbs decision leak from the Supreme Court, the unsolved 2021 D.C. pipe bombing, and the notorious cocaine incident.

“The Director and I assessed several cases of possible public corruption shortly after we were sworn in, which naturally attracted public attention,” Bongino wrote. “We decided to either reopen these cases or give them more resources and investigative focus. Every week, I get requested briefings on these cases, and we are moving forward.

The nation was shocked by the scandal.
On July 2, 2023, Secret Service officers found a small bag of cocaine in a cubby close to the West Wing’s entrance, which is a common spot for employees, guests, and VIPs.

The White House was immediately evacuated as a result of the startling discovery, and the Secret Service began a thorough investigation. President Joe Biden and his family were staying at Camp David in Maryland at the time, not in Washington.

Investigators had little to work with because the bag contained no usable fingerprints or DNA, despite the FBI’s confirmation that the substance was cocaine.

The list of potential suspects, which included more than 500 employees and guests who might have left the cocaine behind, was too large for the Secret Service to identify, and no suspect was ever found.

Former President Donald Trump stated in a recent interview that “that was such a terrible thing because, you know, those bins are very loaded up with … They have hundreds or even thousands of fingerprints, and they are not clean.

“It was wiped dry and completely icy when they went to look at it,” he continued. I take it you are aware of that?

Trump’s audacious assertion
When asked in the same interview who he believed was to blame, Trump didn’t mince words. He said to Ben Domenech of The Spectator, “Well, either Joe or Hunter.”

“It might also be Joe.”

As previously stated, when the drugs were discovered, the Biden family, which includes the president and his son Hunter, was reportedly at Camp David rather than the White House.

However, the public’s interest has been stoked by conjecture regarding Hunter Biden’s past.

Hunter talked candidly about his severe crack cocaine addiction and his journey to recovery in his 2021 memoir Beautiful Things.

Hunter Biden told Tracy Smith of CBS Sunday Morning, “I spent more time on my hands and knees, picking through rugs, smoking anything that even remotely resembled crack cocaine.”

He jokingly remarked, “I probably smoked more parmesan cheese than anyone that you know.”

In court, he testified that he has been sober since 2019.

Most recent information
The executive mansion’s security measures came under renewed scrutiny after pictures of the cocaine bag and the location of its discovery were made public.

Many are wondering if the FBI will finally find out who brought drugs into America’s most secure building now that Bongino has confirmed that the case is once again receiving active attention.

It remains to be seen if this new push will turn up new evidence or suspects. One thing is certain, though: the White House cocaine mystery is far from over.
