Five years ago, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left the royal life to pursue their own careers in the United States. Despite having a devoted following, Meghan, 43, has since come under growing criticism in the UK. She expressed feeling held responsible for Harry’s decision to resign from royal duties in the 2022 Netflix documentary series Harry and Meghan.
Newsweek’s Chief Royal Correspondent and royal expert Jack Royston now cautions that Meghan’s reputation could be further harmed if she were to split from Harry. Royston stated, “Imagine if Meghan left Harry, it would destroy her reputation,” during an appearance on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive program. She would be publicly dismembered.
He clarified that Meghan frequently appears on social media alongside women who are viewed as domineering or egotistical. “They need each other,” Royston continued, adding that a breakup would also leave Harry, 40, without much support in America. She would be nothing without Harry. Harry’s life in America is meaningless without her.
It is not thought that separation is likely in spite of these cautions. The pair still seems to be in love. Meghan recently revealed to People that they are going through another “honeymoon phase,” particularly because her professional endeavors bring back memories of their early years together, when she was an actress and blogger.
“It feels almost like a honeymoon period again,” she remarked. He would observe me writing newsletters, editing, and scribbling. I believe he enjoys watching just as much as I enjoy the creative process. It’s simply been enjoyable.
