Jon Bon Jovi serenades fan onstage during “Bed of Roses” in Brazil

During a Bon Jovi concert at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Jon Bon Jovi turned “Bed of Roses” into a serenade for a woman who made her way onto the stage. The stadium crowd had been singing every word when she appeared as the band reached the opening chorus. Dressed in a Bon Jovi crop top, the young fan approached the frontman and embraced him.

Their first hug was followed by a kiss on the lips, which drew a large cheer from the audience. Bon Jovi then held the woman’s hand, looked into her eyes and sang the chorus to her. She appeared thrilled by the attention, remaining beside him as he continued the performance. The pair embraced several more times while the song progressed.

When the guitar solo arrived, Bon Jovi brought the fan to the front of the stage for a slow dance. Her visit lasted more than three minutes, an unusually long stay compared with the swift removal that often awaits people who get onto a stadium stage. At the close of the solo, she prepared to return to the crowd, but first kissed Bon Jovi once more, this time on his cheek.

Video of the São Paulo performance accumulated 11 million views on YouTube. In comments, Bon Jovi listeners described “Bed of Roses” as one of his most beautiful love songs and said the woman was likely to remember the encounter throughout her life. Another response praised the love and respect that Latin American crowds give to performers visiting from around the world.
